For salt water pools, food processing, laboratories & quality control, the PSA311 Salt Meter is quick and easy to use.

The sensing head is designed to allow water in and around the protected electrodes and temperature compensation probe, while purging any air bubbles out through side vents. All in all, this means the instrument requires dipping for less than a second - so measurements are fast!

If the viewing angle’s a bit awkward, no problem, just click the hold button to freeze the display and read the salt content - without craning your neck.

The PSA311 is waterproof, rugged and has a battery saving auto-power-off feature,

so it’s built for tough daily use.

Specifications

It’s easy to convert from % weight to ppm (parts per million).

The 0.73% displayed in the picture above can be read as 7300 ppm, so it’s an easy conversion if your pool dosing is in ppm.

So if your pool is 50,000 litres and your salt content is 0.35% but should be 0.40% for the chlorinator to work correctly, add 25kg of salt:

0.40% - 0.35% = 0.05%
0.05% x 50,000 litres = 0.0005 x 50,000 = 25
